Community Garden
Growing fresh food, skills, and community together.

Growing Fresh Food, Skills, and Community Together
The Mount Torrens Community Garden is a welcoming shared space where community members can grow food, learn new skills, and connect with others. Open to everyone, the garden encourages participation, sustainability, and a sense of belonging within Mount Torrens.
Through shared planting, harvesting, and care of the garden, volunteers help create a supportive environment that provides fresh produce, knowledge, and opportunities to work together. Designed with accessibility in mind, the garden includes raised beds and level pathways so people of all ages and abilities can take part.
Location and Access
The Mount Torrens Community Garden is located at Dunnfield Drive, Dunnfield within easy walking distance of the township.
The garden is open to visitors and community members throughout the week, and everyone is welcome to explore the space, enjoy the surroundings, and learn more about our growing projects.
Activities and Working Bees
Regular working bees and gardening sessions are held to maintain the garden and support shared planting and harvesting activities.
These sessions provide opportunities for members to work together, exchange ideas, and build practical skills in a supportive environment.
The Community Garden also holds open days on the first and third Saturday of each month, between 9:00 am and 11:00 am, giving visitors the chance to explore the garden, meet volunteers, and learn more about our projects.
Details of upcoming working bees, open days, and special activities are shared on our Events and Notice Board pages.
